Your Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a CAD Designer for our client within the automotive industry. This role is perfect for someone who is confident in CAD but also appreciates being close to operations and desires a broad role.

You will work with mechanical design, support production, service machinery, and collaborate closely with procurement on product selection and development. You will develop new solutions, further develop existing designs, and create structure and technical standards in your work.

The work involves load-bearing structures, frameworks, and mechanical systems where function and strength are part of daily life. You will be involved in implementing the designs into production, ensuring they are buildable and well-thought-out.

Mechanical preparation is a natural part of the role. You will work closely with procurement and have an understanding of the products and components offered by suppliers. In consultation with procurement, you will ensure that the right solutions are chosen technically, sustainably, and economically.

For the right person, there is also the opportunity to take some technical responsibility for machinery, perform basic service, and engage in dialogue with suppliers. Experience in drawing electrical schematics or working with 3D printers is an asset but not a requirement.

Your Profile

You have a background in studies or experience from a profession within mechanics or similar fields and are confident in CAD. You have a holistic mindset and enjoy working broadly across the entire company, with a focus on CAD design and product development.

You have a good understanding of load-bearing structures and mechanical systems and thrive in an environment where design meets production. You are technically driven, structured, and solution-oriented.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a manufacturing environment and appreciate being close to operations rather than working purely theoretically.
